Food & Friends was born from the simple idea that a restaurant should be a place where every guest finds something to love at the table. What started in the 1980s as a small sweets shop evolved into a regional institution under the leadership and care of Page and Bob Murphy. The Murphys didn’t just build a restaurant; they built a community.

This building has its own story to tell. Built in 1928, it was home to the Griffth-Bryant Ford dealership for over 50 years. The building was transformed in 1993 when Food & Friends moved in. For nearly a century, this has been a place where relationships were built. Where neighbors met neighbors. Where friendships were formed. Where partnerships began. Where people gathered, celebrated milestones, and became part of the story of Greenbrier Valley.

After 30 years of stewardship by the Murphy/Nash family, a new chapter is beginning. While some of the faces at the helm have changed, the heart of the kitchen remains. We are honored to work alongside the legacy team that has been the backbone of Food & Friends for years, ensuring that the special recipes and culture Page created continue to thrive. We blend the comfort of legacy flavors with the fresh energy of the future, to ensure every guest is a part of the Food & Friends story.
